Goldendoodles are a cross between a golden retriever and a poodle. They typically have a soft, wavy, and/or curly coat and are known for being intelligent, friendly, and easily trainable. Goldendoodles come in a variety of sizes, colors, and coat types, and they can make great family pets.
The Goldendoodle coat is unique in that it is a mix of golden retriever and poodle, so it can vary quite a bit. Some have very thick, wavy or even curly coats, while others may have a more loose, straight coat. The coat also varies in terms of length, with some having long hair and others being more medium length. There is no one answer to this question as each individual Goldendoodle's coat can be quite different.
You can ask your veterinarian for a comprehensive list of what not to feed your Goldendoodle. Also, many veterinarian offices have pamphlets or handouts with this same information. You can also do an internet search for “what not to feed Goldendoodles” and find a variety of articles with this information. Another great resource is pet stores or dog parks, as the staff or other dog owners there may be able to give you personal recommendations.
Goldendoodles don't have any special requirements, but they do need a lot of exercise and socialization. They're also very intelligent, so they need a lot of mental stimulation. Goldendoodles are great family dogs and do best in homes with children and other pets.
Goldendoodles can range in size from 35 to 100 pounds depending on the parents’ breeds. Standard Poodles usually weigh anywhere from 50 to 70 pounds, while Golden Retrievers often weigh between 55 and 75 pounds.
Walking your Goldendoodle for at least 30 minutes per day is ideal. If you can't walk for 30 minutes, then walking for at least 15 minutes per day is the next best thing.
Goldendoodles can get along great with kids! They are intelligent, gentle, and easily trained dogs that make perfect family pets. Goldendoodles are also good natured and typically enjoy the company of children. With their hypoallergenic coats, goldendoodles are also a good choice for families with allergies.
You'll need to devote at least 30 minutes a day to training your Goldendoodle. 60 minutes a day would be even better. However, it's more important to be consistent with your training sessions than to try to cram a lot of training into a short period of time.
