They generally enjoy being around people and get along well with children and other animals. They are eager to please and tend to be very mindful of their owners. Havanese do not bark excessively, but they can be vocal when faced with unfamiliar situations.
It is unlikely that you will have an allergic reaction from owning a Havaneses.
