They are a small dog, but are often described as being "big dogs in little packages" due to their outgoing personalities and charming, cuddly nature. With their trademark black-and-tan coats, long ears, sparkling eyes, and a fuzzy ponytail-like plume of fur adorning their tail, the Havaneses is a joyful and curious dog. They are low-shedding, make excellent family companions and are often intelligent enough to be taught tricks.
The Havanese is usually seen with a luxurious, long, and silky coat. It usually comes in a variety of colors including white, cream, chocolate, black, and party colors.
