A Havanese is a small breed of hypoallergenic dog. Originating in Cuba, the Havanese is a descendant of the Blanquito de la Habana, a breed brought to Cuba by Spanish traders in the 16th century. One of the few truly native dog breeds of Cuba, the Havanese is a a small playful companion, easily trained, and highly intelligent. The Havanese stands up to 11" tall and typically weighs 7-13 lbs.
Managing allergies with Havaneses can be done by limiting the exposure to things that might spark an allergic reaction, such as dust, dander, pollen, and dirt.
