Havaneses are a small, bright, and energetic breed of dog belonging to the Bichon family. They are known for their intelligent and loyal nature, making them an ideal family companion and pet. Other appealing traits of Havaneses include their cheerful and alert attitude, as well as their beautiful, long, silky white coat. Despite their small size, they generally have a lot of energy and are prone to barking when excited. On average, Havaneses usually weigh around 7 pounds and may reach up to 12 inches in height.
The Havanese coat is unique and beautiful! It is composed of a single-layered, silky-smooth texture and looks like a cotton ball with curls. Depending on the individual, the coat can vary from wavy to curly or even quite straight. It is non-shedding and hypoallergenic, making it perfect for those with allergies. It is also a low-maintenance coat and only needs a bath and brush every 2-3 weeks.
