One of the Lab's most unique attributes is their working dog pedigree descendants of retrievers bred by 19th century fishermen to assist with the retrieval of fish, waterfowl, and game both in and out of water.
Labrador Retrievers have a double coat, consisting of a short, dense, and water-resistant outer coat and a thick and wooly undercoat.
