A Labrador Retriever is a breed of gun dog known for their distinctive otter tail and friendly personalities. They are highly intelligent and have an eagerness to please, making them easy to train. Labrador Retrievers come in three standard sizes: small, medium, and large. Small Labradors usually weigh between 20 and 50 pounds and stand between 17 to 20 inches tall at the shoulder. Large Labradors normally weigh between 80 and 105 pounds and stand taller than 24 inches at the shoulder. It is recommended to walk your Labrador Retriever for at least 60 minutes each day. This could be done in several short walks such as two 30-minute walks, three 20-minute walks, or four 15-minute walks. The key is that your Labrador Retriever should get activity each day and receive both mental and physical exercise. They should have the opportunity to sniff and explore in order to keep them mentally engaged, as well as some aerobic activity to ensure they maintain a healthy weight.
