They have webbed feet and a thick water-resistant coat that makes them excellent swimmers. Furthermore, labs excel at obedience making them top choices for therapy and service dogs. Labrador Retrievers are not a non-shedding breed of dog. They do shed their coat throughout the year, and the amount of shedding can depend on the time of year and how frequently you groom your pet.
