Labrador Retrievers are an intelligent and loyal breed of dog that make wonderful companions. Although known more for their good natured personalities, they are a hard-working breed that have been used as assistance dogs, hunting dogs, and search and rescue animals. Generally, they are considered an easy breed to train and excel when given a clear expectation and consistent reinforcement. Labradors have a thick double coat that can range from light yellow to a deep black.
The Labrador Retriever is renowned for its luxurious coat, which typically consists of a thick, short-medium length double coat that is water resistant.
