They are one of the most trainable breeds and commonly used as guide, assistance, and therapy dogs. However, they are best suited to a home with adults that understand the proper channels of canine behavior.
The Labrador Retriever's coat is often considered an asset! It is a double coat that is short, hard and weather-resistant on the outside, and soft and thick on the inside.
