Labrador Retrievers are friendly, loyal, and intelligent dogs that make for great family pets. They can weigh anywhere between 55 to 80 pounds and usually have a dense, weather resistant coat of short hair in black, yellow, or chocolate. The breed is an excellent swimmer and loves to play in the water, starting from when they are just puppies. Labradors are also known for being very eager to please, and highly trainable.
