Labrador Retrievers are famously known for their intelligence, loyalty, and their friendly, outgoing personalities. They are also renowned for their versatility and their eagerness to please, making them great companion dogs as well as valuable members of search and rescue teams, gun-dog teams, and other roles. Their thick, water-resistant coat makes them wonderful swimmers, and they can often be seen splashing about in ponds and lakes. Labrador Retrievers are not necessarily hypoallergenic.
