One of the most interesting things about these dogs is their natural love of water that often inspires them to enjoy activities such as dock jumping and paddling. Not only do they love the water, but they are also strong swimmers equipped with webbed feet to helo them paddle. Adding to their swimming prowess is their naturally oily coat, making them expert swimmers even in cold weather.
Labrador Retrievers sport a thick silky double coat that protects them from both hot and cold environments. Their outer coat is short, water-resistant, and straight while their undercoat is thick and soft like cotton. They come in 3 basic colors Black, Yellow and Chocolate with variations like Silver and Charcoal to consider too.
