Perhaps the most interesting thing about them is their versatile nature; Labs can make an excellent choice either as a loyal companion or a highly capable working dog in fields like search and rescue, drug-sniffing, therapy, and service work. Their athletic physique and enduring stamina make them an ideal choice for jogging or rigorous activities that require a high amount of endurance.
Labrador Retrievers are a breed well-known for their dense, double-layered coat that sheds from time to time. Although Labs tend to shed more during certain times of the year, overall they shed fairly consistently throughout the year.
