This is a classification that includes skilled gundogs bred to flush out birds, participate in various hunting activities, and compete in field trials. Labrador Retrievers are playful, good-natured dogs known for their intelligence, easy trainability, and loyalty to their owners. They are often used as service dogs, therapy dogs, and guide dogs. Labradors have a strong work ethic and a desire to please their owners.
Labrador Retrievers are considered one of the more medium-shedding breeds, due to their thick coat.
