The Maltese breed's coat is very distinctive, with a long, silky, white coat with tight curls. It doesn't shed much, so it's a great choice for people who don't want their furniture and clothes covered with pet hair. The coat is also hypoallergenic, as the hair is unable to penetrate the skin due to its curly nature. Grooming can include combing the hair, trimming and bathing.
