They are considered to be non-shedding dogs, which makes them a popular choice for those suffering from allergies since they have less dander than other breeds. Maltipoos grown to be anywhere between 4-20 lbs. depending on the size of the parent breeds. They also have a very gentle and friendly temperament and are known to be intelligent and very trainable. Maltipoos are friendly with other animals and people, making them great family pets.
The Maltipoo breed has a distinctive coat that is generally soft and thick. Their coats are composed of a mix of curly, wavy, and straight strands that can range in length from very short to medium long. They often have one soft, wooly undercoat and one silky, outer layer. Coloration can vary from solid to a combination of colors such as white, black, cream caramel, and apricot. They easily go in the direction of their owners' preferences when it comes to desired length and trimming.
