What makes them so interesting is that they are incredibly unique no two Maltipoos look or act quite the same due to their mixed background. Also, typically they are friendly and affectionate dogs, making them wonderful companions for just about any age range. Being hypoallergenic is a benefit as well, since those with allergies can have a pet without having to worry too much about reaction.
Maltipoos are often thought of as non-shedding due to usually having a "hypoallergenic" coat, which is why they have become popular amongst people who have allergies. However, many Maltipoos still shed to some degree, just like regular dogs. While Maltipoos may produce less dander and therefore less potential to cause allergic reactions in people, they are not completely non-shedding. That being said, Maltipoos typically produce much less shedding than other breeds, like Poodles.
