Maltipoos are a hybrid dog breed, the result of crossing a Maltese with a Toy Poodle. These dogs are considered a Toy breed and their petite size and silky coat make them popular companions and lapdogs. Maltipoos are usually intelligent and affectionate. They are friendly to strangers and other pets, as well as attentive to their owners. These dogs are also easy to groom since they don't shed and are generally healthy. Some common health issues in the breed include heart murmurs, eye and knee problems, and hypoglycemia.
The Maltipoo has a very unique coat. It is a combination of a Maltese and a Poodle, so the coat is usually somewhere in between the breeds.
