Maltipoos come in a variety of colorings, ranging from white or cream to brown, apricot, red, gray, or black; they can have a straight, long, or curly coat, adding to their already endearing appeal.

Allergies are complex and individual; an array of factors can contribute to their development or aggravation. Generally, Maltipoos have low-to-no dander, as they need to be well-groomed and they do not moult heavily.
