Maltipoos are a hybrid cross between a Toy or Miniature Poodle and a Maltese. They are classified as a hybrid or mixed breed. They share the non-shedding coat of the Poodle with the affectionate, gentle temperament of the Maltese. Maltipoos make for wonderful companion dogs and are suitable for families who are looking for a low-shedding lapdog. They are intelligent, loyal, and have great hypoallergenic qualities.
The Maltipoo has a unique coat that is usually single-layered and consists of a combination of both its Poodle and Maltese parent's fur. This coat is generally soft and wavy or curly, which allows it to be non-shedding, hypoallergenic and perfect for those who suffer from fur-related allergies. Maltipoos usually come in colors such as black, tan, red, white, brown, and cream. While they can be also found in combinations of two or more colors.
