Maltipoos are a hybrid crossbreed that have been created from a mix of two other well-known breeds the Maltese and the Poodle. Depending on which breed is the dominant one within the mix, Maltipoos can range in size from a Toy to a Miniature or even a Standard size, and their coats can come in a variety of colors and textures from very fine to more curly or coarse. Their temperament often reflects that of a Maltese, typically being friendly, gentle, and affectionate.
Generally speaking, Maltipoos will not be the direct cause of allergies for most people. Although they are considered hypoallergenic, this does not mean they are 100% allergy-free. This mix breed of Poodles and Maltese still generates a low level of dander which can cause an allergic reaction.
