As a hybrid breed with such different lineage, they will be very different from both sides of their family in both behavior and appearance. Maltipoos, like other hybrid and designer breeds, can be somewhat difficult to classify, as they may look very different even among other members of their breed. Generally however, they have been known to be classed as Toy or Companion breeds, as they are generally small, affectionate, and prone to cuddling.
