They make for the perfect companion, as they are generally adaptable and can easily learn to adjust to different environments and different people. Maltipoos are also great at recognizing their owners' unique body language and needs and are known to be great lap dogs. They don't require a ton of exercise, but do need some physical and mental stimulation.
Maltipoos have a variety of coats depending on the familial heritage of their parents. Generally, the most common type of coat is what is known as a 'curly fleece'. This is a combination of the Maltese's silky texture and the Poodle's curls, creating a softer, teddy-bear-like appearance. This type of coat is usually low-shedding and odorless.
