Maltipoos are a hybrid breed, which means they are the result of two purebred parent breeds, the Maltese and Poodle. Fun facts about this charismatic pooch include that they are known for being very friendly, affectionate, and loyal. They make excellent family pets as they are good natured and get along well with both adults and children. They are also considered to be hypoallergenic as their coat sheds minimally and requires regular grooming. They are known to bark very rarely but will alert their owners of potentially dangerous situations.
The Maltipoo coat is usually a combination of its Poodle and Maltese parent breeds. On average, they have a soft, silky coat that may be straight, wavy, or curly with a moderate length. Depending on their genetics they will be a double coat with exceptionally soft undercoat and a profuse topcoat that offers ample protection from inclement weather. Generally, Maltipoos come in colors such as white, cream, apricot, black, and brown as well as a variety of two-color combinations.
