A Maltipoo is a cross between a Maltese and a Poodle, two of the most popular small breed dogs. It is a designer dog, intentionally bred to create a smaller, hypoallergenic hybrid that makes an excellent family pet. A Maltipoo is generally active and friendly, quite loyal to its owners, and eager to please. With a friendly, social temperament, they make great companions and are very much a "people-dog".
The Maltipoo coat varies depending on the parent breeds. Generally, they have soft and silky fur. The texture may vary from wavy, wool-like and curly. Most Maltipoos have a double coat, which means a wavy or curly undercoat with a longer, straight topcoat. Some have a finer, single-layer coat. The color of the coat can be anything from white, black, apricot, cream or brown and it may be solid, parti-colored or multi-colored.
Maltipoos are a mixed breed of dog that are distinguished by their furry, fluffy coats and gentle disposition. Unfortunately, Maltipoos can be quite sensitive to the foods they eat, so it's important to feed them properly. Certain foods should be avoided to ensure their health and well-being.
