This makes them very attractive to people looking for a family pet who has low grooming needs.
Maltipoos are considered non-shedding and hypoallergenic. This is because of their combination of Maltese and Poodle parentage, as both of these breeds are considered hypoallergenic. On average, Maltipoos will lose only a very small amount of hair compared to other breeds, which makes them great for people with allergies or asthma. Despite their low shedding qualities, they do still need regular grooming to keep their coat looking its best.
