These dogs typically have a combination of characteristics associated with the Maltese and the Poodle making them easy to train, loving towards people, and incredibly smart. They are well-suited as a family pet, and they love to play and cuddle. Maltipoos can range in size depending on the type of Poodle used in their creation, but typically they weigh under 20 pounds and stand about 8-10 inches tall.
While there is no guarantee that any particular breed of dog will cause you to have an allergic reaction, Maltipoos are generally considered a hypoallergenic breed which means that the likelihood of having an allergic reaction from this breed is lower than with other pet choices. Maltipoos are a mix of two very low-shedding breeds, the Maltese and the Poodle, and the combination results in a breed that sheds a significantly lesser amount of fur.
