They are also a hybrid breed of two popular designer dogs – the Maltese and the Poodle – making them an exceptionally unique and interesting breed. Maltipoos often have a shaggy coat, which is not only eye-catching but also doesn't require too much maintenance. This makes them the ideal pet for young families and those looking for a small and low-maintenance companion.
Maltipoos are generally considered to be hypoallergenic and highly non-shedding due to their low dander, low allergen coat, and the fact that they have a hybrid between a Maltese and a Poodle, both low shedding breeds. Maltipoos shed very little, if at all, so they are an excellent choice for those who are allergy-prone or looking for a pet that sheds less.
