Due to the combination of two very intelligent breeds, these hybrid dogs are often very trainable and loyal, making them an excellent fit for families and individuals alike. Maltipoos have a low to non-shedding coat, meaning they don't require near as much grooming as many other breeds, and they are also notorious for being relatively quiet, so they are great for those living in apartments and other close-living conditions.
Maltipoos are often mischaracterized as non-shedding dogs; however, they actually shed moderately. With regular brushing and occasional clipping, a Maltipoo's shed can remain minimal and manageable. The most effective way to control shedding is to groom your pup on a regular basis. This includes daily brushing of your pup's coat and fur, as well as trimming the fur on a regular basis.
