These highly intelligent, friendly, and playful dogs are best known for their cute appearance with their soft, curly coat and teddy-bear-like looks. As they are quite active and playful, Maltipoos are an excellent choice for a family pet or for individuals with active lifestyles.
Maltipoos are considered to be a non-shedding breed, and for many pet owners, this is a major attraction. While they may have a few stray hairs every now and again, they are generally quite low maintenance when it comes to shedding. Maltipoos are a hybrid cross between a Maltese and a Toy Poodle, which has allowed for the genetic combination of the two breeds' traits. This includes the characteristic low-shedding coats of both parent breeds making this breed a great choice for those who want a low-maintenance dog that does not shed or cause allergies.
A Maltipoo is a small breed of canine, typically between 4 and 10 pounds, and as such, the ideal food for them should be something specifically designed for small breed dogs. Look for high-quality kibble that includes important nutrients such as protein, carbohydrates, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals. It should also contain an appropriate balance of fiber.
