They usually range from 4-20 pounds, and have a soft, fluffy coat that comes in an array of colors. Maltipoos are relatively low-maintenance and don't require much exercise, however it's important to brush their coats regularly and trim their nails at least once per month. They tend to do well in apartments or small homes, and thrive on plenty of love and attention.
The Maltipoo is known for its unique coat type that is a combination of a Maltese and Poodle. This hybrid breed typically has a soft, thick, and wavy coat.. A Maltipoo with a longer coat may require regular brushing and combing to prevent mats and tangles. This breed's fur is usually hypoallergenic, so those with sensitive skin can often tolerate the coat better than a non-hypoallergenic breed.
