A Pomsky is a hybrid or designer dog breed, which is created by crossing the incredibly fluffy and friendly Pomeranian with the intelligent and adventurous Siberian Huskies. This isn't an established breed as yet, so there is no set breed profile or standard to breed to. First appearing around 2009, this "Eskie Pom" is known for their foxy face, double coat, and usually heavily-plumed tail. Their personalities can vary, but they tend to be friendly and energetic, making them great companions for anactive family.
Pomskies are not completely hypoallergenic--like any breed, individuals with a predisposition to allergies should take caution before bringing a Pomsky into their home. That said, the combination of the Siberian Husky, known for its hypoallergenic qualities, and the Pomeranian, known for its thick double coat, makes the Pomsky slightly less prone to exposing a family to allergy triggers.
