Questions & Answers
Pomskies are hybrid dogs, a mix between the Pomeranian and Siberian Husky. They are a great family pet, as they are loyal, playful and affectionate. Pomskies tend to range in size between 10 to 20 pounds, with a height of 12 to 17 inches. They have a double coat, making them perfect for colder climates with their thick, luxurious fur. Pomskies can have a variety of colors including white, black, black and white, grey and sable.
Pomskies are a hybrid breed of dog, and so the amount of shedding is not necessarily predictable. Each individual dog's shedding will vary, and it is likely that some Pomskies will be more prone to shedding than others. For this reason, it is not possible to accurately say whether Pomskies are non-shedding. Grooming habits such as regular brushing and trimming can help to reduce shedding, and this is recommended in order to keep Pomskies coat healthy and reduce fur maintenance in your home.
Pomskies are typically fed a diet that is comprised of high quality dry dog food mixed with wet dog food as well as some natural proteins from cooked eggs, yogurt, and meat. It is important to provide vitamins and supplements in order to give them the nutrition they need to live a long and healthy life. Like any dog, Pomskies should have access to a clean water supply at all times, and they should also be given treats and chew toys to help keep their teeth and gums healthy.
Purchasing a Pomsky can be an exciting experience, but it’s important to make sure you have the necessary supplies before bringing them home. You should have food and water dishes, high-quality dog food, puppy pads or a designated potty area, a brush, an ID tag, a collar and leash, toys, treats, and a kennel or carrier. It's also important to set up a cozy and comfortable place for your pup to sleep.
Pomskies are a hybrid cross-breed between Siberian Huskies and Pomeranians, making them a medium-sized "designer breed" of dog. Although not all Pomskies are of the same size, on average they will weigh between 17–30 pounds. Thus, it can be argued that they are not considered to be a large breed of dog. However, it is crucial to consider that their size can vary significantly from one Pomsky to another, and therefore, depending on the size of the individual it could be perceived as large.
The amount of time you should walk your Pomsky each day depends on their age, size, and overall energy level. Generally, adult Pomskies can handle between 30 and 60 minutes of exercise a day. If your Pomsky is a puppy, you'll need to adjust the amount of time appropriately. Puppies require shorter, more frequent walks, averaging between 10 and 15 minutes of exercise at a time. It is also important to add additional time for play and exploration so your pup can use up energy whilst using a variety of different ways of exercising.
Pomskies are generally good with kids. They're very energetic and loving, which can make them great companions for children. Pomskies often show their affection through cuddles and excited energy. They can also be very protective of their humans. As long as their physical and mental needs are met, they can be wonderful family pets who provide endless amounts of love. Additionally, they need regular exercise to stay in top shape, so it can be a great way to help kids stay active.
Pomskies need approximately 30 60 minutes of exercise every day, preferably divided into two to three equal parts. This can include walks, playtime, agility training, or even a game of fetch. It's important to introduce new activities gradually so that your Pomsky isn't overwhelmed and is able to keep up. It's also important to provide mental stimulation, such as puzzle toys or even learning tricks this helps to keep them from getting bored and helps build the bond between you and your furry friend. Remember to always take safety precautions and monitor your Pomsky while they are exercising.
