Though not officially recognized as a separate class of dog, they are often referred to as "designer dogs" or "designer breeds," as they are the product of two pure breeds being deliberately crossed. Pomskies tend to have a diverse range of physical traits, as they can inherit various aspects from either of the parent breeds.
