A Pomsky is a relatively new hybrid breed of dog created by crossing a Pomeranian with a Husky. The Pomsky is a small to medium sized dog that looks similar to a Husky, but with a smaller, denser frame. Pomskies are very high energy and need lots of attention and exercise, so they do best in homes with active owners who can provide them with plenty of stimulation. They are also incredibly affectionate and can form strong bonds with their owners, making them great family pets.
Pomskies may not be considered hypoallergenic due to their mix of Pomeranian and Siberian Husky genetics. Both parent breeds have thick, double coats of fur which make them ideal for cold weather, but which may also trigger allergies in some people. While an individual Pomsky can't be guaranteed to be hypoallergenic, they are generally considered a low allergen dog, meaning they are statistically more suitable for those with allergies than many other breeds.
Pomskies are a designer breed that are a mix of a Pomeranian and a Siberian Husky, and as with all dogs, there are specific items that should not be used as food sources. You should never feed Pomskies chocolate, gum or foods that contain xylitol, dairy products, common houseplants, macadamia nuts, or canned tuna that is high in mercury.
