Pomskies are truly unique, blending the best of both worlds from parents of both a Pomeranian and a Siberian Husky. Not only are they a stunning combination of both breeds, with wonderful colors and markings, but their personalities are just as distinctive. Most often, they have the alertness and independence of their Husky parents, but with the friendliness and docility of their Pomeranian parents. They are zealous, playful, and loyal both inside and outside the home, making them a great friend to small children, while still being a great pet for adults.
Pomskies have a unique coat due to their hybrid status, its characteristics being a combination of the most attractive features of both parent breeds. Their coat is typically dense, thick, and double bearing. The coat is designed to retain heat in the cold, making them ideal for colder climates. The color range can be anywhere from light grey, brown, black, and even white. Pomskies also have an undercoat to help keep them warm in the winter, while their outercoat stays slightly longer to keep out dirt and any debris.
