Questions & Answers
Pomskies are a very interesting hybrid breed of dog, created by crossbreeding two very different breeds a Pomeranian and a Siberian Husky. They are low-maintenance, friendly, and full of life! They have a thick coat regardless of season, so they don't require much shedding or brushing. Pomskies are a strong breed and able to pull sleds and go on very long walks. Plus their double coat makes them able to handle cold temperatures. They are highly intelligent with a lot of curiosity.
Pomskies have a unique and beautiful double layer coat, with the undercoat being soft and dense and the topcoat being long and straight or slightly waved. This differs from the purebred Boo or Siberian Husky, which usually has an arching and rough coat. The topcoat of a Pomsky should be groomed with a soft brush on a regular basis to prevent wild tangles and keep it healthy, shiny, and fluffy. For upkeep, they should be shampooed every four to eight weeks depending on their activity level and environment.

Fresh vegetables and other raw foods may help supplement the diet, as well as limiting unhealthy foods like sweets and ice-cream to the occasional treat.
Before getting a Pomsky, it is best to ensure you have all of the essentials ready for them. This includes a collar, leash, and food and water dishes. Additionally, you should also purchase a bed, chew toys, grooming tools, and food and treats. It is also wise to have some pet-proofing and safety items such as a crate, pet gate, and waste bags. Having supplies such as a brush and de-shedding tools are important for keeping your Pomsky's coat healthy and looking healthy.
Pomskies come in a variety of sizes, ranging from small to large. Small Pomskies stand at about 9-10 inches and weigh up to 12 pounds. Medium Pomskies range from 11-13 inches and weigh up to 20 pounds. Large Pomskies can grow to 14-15 inches and weigh up to 28 pounds. With the overall size of the Pomsky breed, the size of the individual can vary depending on the parents. Generally, the larger the parent dogs, the larger the resulting Pomsky will be.
