Pomskies, or Pomeranian Huskies, are a designer breed of dog considered to be part of the Spitz family. This family contains a variety of small to medium-sized breeds, usually with thick fur, pointed ears, and a wooly undercoat. Because Pomskies are a relatively new breed, established only within the last twenty years or so, there is no official or uniform classification for them. They have been recognized by a few organizations including the American Canine Hybrid Club (ACHC), but not all kennel clubs recognize them as a separate breed.
Pomskies are considered to be considered a low shed breed, but this isn't always the case and their coat may vary. As the Pomsky is a hybrid breed, the amount of shedding can vary from pup to pup and even within the same litter.
