They have outgoing personalities and possess an eagerness to please so they make great family pets as well as excellent show dogs. Pomskies have an abundant amount of energy but are also loyal and extremely smart, making them well suited for training both house training and obedience.
Pomskies are a cross between a Pomeranian and a Siberian Husky. As a result of their hybrid nature, they have many unique traits. Depending on the ratio of Pomeranian to Husky genes in each individual Pomsky, some Pomskies may be non-shedding while others may shed. Generally speaking, these dogs tend to be low-to-moderate shedders, but there is no guarantee that a Pomsky will not shed.
