Pomskies are a hybrid breed of domesticated companion dogs. They are a cross between a Siberian Husky and a Pomeranian, resulting in a medium-sized pup that generally weighs anywhere between 10 30 pounds. Pomskies are known for their outgoing personalities and often are quite intelligent. Thus, they are generally viewed as excellent watch dogs, however they are considered highly active dogs and thus may not be the best choice for someone who is unable or unwilling to provide the necessary level of exercise and mental stimulation.
Pomskies have a unique, fluffy, soft coat made from a combination of a Siberian Husky mother's long double coat and a Pomeranian father's compact, thick double coat. The result is a wooly and dense coat which gives the Pomsky a 'teddy bear' look. Pomskies usually have a soft undercoat and long guard hairs that can range from wavy to straight.
When it comes to dog food, Pomskies have unique dietary needs. In order to ensure your pup gets the best nutrition, selecting the right dog food is key.
