Found in artwork as early as 1571, Poodles have a rich and diverse history, with references to their popularity all over Europe. They have been used for hunting, as herding dogs, and even as members of the military.
Although all breeds of dogs shed to some degree, some breeds shed less than others and Poodles are considered to fall into that category. Poodles have a coat made of tight curls that provide insulation for the dog in both hot and cold weather, and that coat helps keep loose fur from falling out onto surfaces.
