Poodles come in three sizes; standard, miniature, and toy. Even though their fur requires regular grooming, it's hypo-allergenic and repels dirt. They are also known to be very intelligent and easy to train. Poodles are good swimmers, so they make great companions for water activities.
Managing allergies with Poodles is a manageable task. One of the first steps to take is to ensure the Poodle is allergy-friendly. This can be done by obtaining the Poodle from a reputable breeder and looking for dogs with hypoallergenic coats. As the Poodle's fur grows, it should also be brushed regularly--at least two to three times a week--to remove any dander that can contribute to allergies. Additionally, it is important to keep the Poodle's living environment free of dust and fur.
