Poodles are an incredibly intelligent and highly trainable dog breed, belonging to the Non-Sporting Group. These dogs come in three sizes Standard, Miniature, and Toy with a variety of coat colors and styles. Poodles have a long history of being associated with royalty and have become one of the most recognizable breeds in the canine world. Besides being outgoing, friendly, and highly social, these dogs have a unique look to them, courtesy of their trademark puffy coat and lion-like hairstyle.
The Poodle coat is quite iconic. It is unique in having distinct curls and a bouncy feel to the touch. The breed standard calls for long, thick, evenly-textured fur which can range in textures, from straight to tight curls.
