Here are some fun facts about poodles that you may not have known: Poodles come in three size varieties: standard, miniature, and toy. Generally, poodles will live between 10 and 18 years with proper care. They typically do not shed much since they have a single coat of fur, making them a great pet for people with pet allergies. Poodles are an excellent breed of choice when competing in dog shows.
Poodles have a thick, curly coat that comes in four distinct varieties smooth, corded, curly, and trimmed. Each variety has its unique features. The smooth Poodle coat, for example, is soft and glossy. It lies close to the body and requires regular trimming and brushing to keep it looking neat. The corded Poodle coat is actually a combination of the smooth and curly coats that is clipped into a cord-like texture that should be groomed regularly.
