The Siberian Husky is a working dog of medium size. Similar in appearance to the Alaskan Malamute, but slightly smaller, these dogs are easily recognizable for their wolf-like appearance, thick double coats, and unique markings. They're very friendly and loyal dogs that are also famed for their high energy levels and love of work.
Huskies come from Siberia, a land of ice and snow, so they might not seem like the ideal breed for warm and sunny spots like Florida. If left outside in warm places, they can suffer, but as long as you provide them with lots of opportunities to keep cool with air conditioning and freshwater, they can live happily in warm states too.
