It depends on the kind of puppy you’re looking for as far as the breed, the color of the coat, and the puppy’s sex. The quality of the puppy’s fur and other factors may come into play as well. The breed is a big determinant of the price. If you’re searching for pitbull puppies, Tennessee residents will find they will be priced differently than Doberman Pinscher puppies. Also the experience and reputation of the breeder may figure into the price as well. That’s easy. If you find a puppy you love on Uptown Puppies and it’s from a dog breeder that’s in a different state, you can get in touch with the breeder and purchase the puppy even if you’re out of state. Then it’s up to you if you want to make the drive or plane trip to pick up the puppy in person yourself, or if you want to arrange with the breeder to have the puppy sent to your nearest airport via an airline that accommodates pet travel.
Very painstakingly. We use a 47-point checklist that covers everything from the amount of time the dog breeder has spent breeding puppies, to the number of litters they’ve successfully raised, to the quality of care and quality of life for the animals they’re responsible for. We receive applications all the time from breeders who want to be listed in our network, but we only accept 10% or fewer of the applications we receive, because if a dog breeder does not meet all 47 standards we insist on, then we will not show you their puppies for sale.
