Bernedoodles can come in a variety of sizes and coat types, ranging from the wavy-fleece coated Miniature and Toy Bernedoodles to the curly-coated Standard and Giant Bernedoodles. Generally speaking, Bernedoodles are low to non-shedding and hypoallergenic, and are known for their high boredom tolerance.
Bernedoodles do not shed much of their coat. They have a mix of Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle, which creates a coat that is low to non-shedding. Depending on the individual Bernedoodle, some may be completely non-shedding and only need to be brushed regularly. Others may not shed but have a messier coat that needs to be trimmed and groomed more often. It is important to research and discuss any particular Bernedoodle to get an idea of the expected coat maintenance and length.
