Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dogs are a toy breed of companion dogs originating in England. They are known as friendly, gentle, affectionate, and loyal family pets. They are alert, lively, and active, and have a luxurious silky coat that comes in four color varieties: Blenheim (chestnut and white), Ruby (rich chestnut), Black and Tan, and Tricolor (black, white, and tan). Cavalier King Charles Spaniels make wonderful family additions and, because of their gentle nature, are especially good with children.
The Cavalier King Charles is known for their beautiful, silky coats that come in a variety of colors. Blenheim Cavaliers are chestnut and white in color, Tricolors have black, white and tan markings, Black and Tan Cavaliers have darker coat with lighter tan markings, and Ruby Cavaliers have a solid ruby red coat. Cavalier King Charles are small, yet lively dogs that need plenty of nutritious food as part of their diet to keep them healthy. A good quality dry dog food is a must for an adult Cavalier, with a diet supplemented with wet dog food for added variety. Fresh human grade meat, fruits and vegetables should also be incorporated into their diet to provide the best nutrition for your pet. For puppies, choose a puppy specific dog food that promotes growth. To ensure that your pet has the best nutrition, always make sure to use fresh, high quality ingredients.
Before getting a Cavalier King Charles, you should get some essentials including a dog bed, collar and leash, water and food bowls with stands, puppy food, a brush and comb, waste bags, puppy toys, and a crate with a gate.
