A Cavapoo is a crossbreed developed by merging a Poodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. These friendly, active, and loving dogs are often referred to as designer dogs. Cavapoos are prized for their low-shed coats and seem to easily adapt to their owners’ lifestyles. Cavapoos typically weigh between 8-20 lbs. and stand at about 12-15” in height. Personality-wise, Cavapoos are known for being very sweet-natured, affectionate, and eager-to-please.
Cavapoos are often considered hypoallergenic because they are bred from a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle, both of which are known for their low-shedding coats. While there is no guarantee that a Cavapoo will not trigger an allergic reaction, they do have a much lower chance of doing so than other breeds.
